Summary

Introducing Dexter T。 Rexter, the toughest, coolest dinosaur ever。 At least he likes to think so。

When his best friend, Jack, leaves him behind at the doctor’s office, Dexter T。 Rexter panics。 First he tries to find Jack。 Then he sings their special song。 Then he sings their special song even louder。 But when Jack still doesn’t appear, Dexter starts to wonder。 What if he’s being replaced by another toy? It can’t be—after all, he can STOMP, RAWR, and CHOMP! Right? Right?!

This hilariously neurotic dinosaur will do whatever it takes to get his friend back—even asking the reader’s advice—in this first book of a brand-new series。

Dexter is one of those characters you just immediately like。 He just hops off the page and stomps his way right into your heart, theme song and all! I'm so glad there's going to be a series of books about this adorable dino and his human pal, Jack。 I can't wait to read them all :) Dexter is one of those characters you just immediately like。 He just hops off the page and stomps his way right into your heart, theme song and all! Dexter is a dinosaur toy that is left behind at a doctor's office。 Dexter spends most of the book trying to figure out where his owner is and eventually afraid that Jack left him behind on purpose because he doesn't have the cool features as some other toys。 I was a little concerned that this book might be upsetting to my son the same way I felt upset when watching "The Brave Little Toaster" and "Toy Story 2" as a kid, but he seemed unaffected。 Dexter is a dinosaur toy that is left behind at a doctor's office。 Dexter spends most of the book trying to figure out where his owner is and eventually afraid that Jack left him behind on purpose because he doesn't have the cool features as some other toys。 I was a little concerned that this book might be upsetting to my son the same way I felt upset when watching "The Brave Little Toaster" and "Toy Story 2" as a kid, but he seemed unaffected。 。。。more

Reading this aloud to my nephew- I think I became more invested in the storyline than he。 But, I think it’s a really lovely story。 The fear of being forgotten as things change is something that’s hard to express and I think Don’t Forget Dexter! does it tactfully in a way that children can identify both with toy and child。

I love how this book addresses so many feelings that children have, that many of us have at times。 The fear of abandonment, the fear of being replaced, the fear that someone who we love no longer loves us。

Poor Dexter Dinosaur is afraid his owner has forgotten him。 What will Dexter do if he is alone FOREVER?

A first person narrative following dexter who has lost his friend Jack。 It follows dexter in what appears to be a doctors office as he tries to find his friend。 Dexter gets really sad when he thinks Jack isn't coming back but they are reunited in the end。 Another lovely friendship story。 A first person narrative following dexter who has lost his friend Jack。 It follows dexter in what appears to be a doctors office as he tries to find his friend。 Dexter gets really sad when he thinks Jack isn't coming back but they are reunited in the end。 Another lovely friendship story。 。。。more
